您好！为了便于您在这儿的工作和生活，现将外籍教师在校期间应注意和了解的事项告知您，希望能对您在这儿的工作和生活有所帮助。
Respected ladies and gentlemen:
The followings are the instructions and matters for your attention, which we hope will be helpful for your work and life at the university.
1、请您尊重和遵守中国政府的法律、法令、学校的规章制度。
Please respect and abide by the laws and decrees of China and the regulations of the university.
2、按照我国政府的规定，您在校工作期间，与本校教职工同样享受中国国内传统节假日。
You share the same rights to enjoy traditional Chinese holidays as your Chinese colleagues during your contract period according to the rules of Chinese government.
3、学校不干涉您的宗教信仰自由，但您不能以任何形式，于任何场合，在中国宣传宗教、发展教徒。
The university will not interfere with your freedom of religion belief， but you are not allowed to preach religion and develop follower at any occasion or in any way.
4、当您到达学校后三天内，请将本人护照、入境签证、照片（3张）交外事办公室，为您办理所需各种证件。
Please submit your passport, entry visa and 3 photos to foreign affairs office within three days after your arrival for all the necessary certificates.
5、当您任职期满回国前，或经与学校商量需继续延聘时，可以由国际交流处协助您办理相关手续。
OICE will help with the correlated process regarding resident permit when you complete the contract and plan to leave or renew the contract.
6、您在学校的教学工作由教务处和所在院、部管理，他们将为您解决工作中的有关事宜。您应根据安排完成教学任务，并确保质量。
Your teaching assignment will be arranged and managed by department of teaching affairs and the college/department where you teach. They will cooperate with you in terms of teaching affairs. You are required to fulfill the teaching assignment with good quality.
7、您应遵守外籍教师管理的相关工作规程，接受学校对您工作的监督和评价。
Please follow the foreign teacher’s related working regulation and accept the supervision and evaluation from the University.
8、除了本地和本校组织的活动外，您还可以利用节假日外出旅游，但不能占用教学时间，并提前书面告知国际交流处出游行程，联系方式及返校时间。请不要去非开放地区，也不要在禁止摄影、摄像的地方摄影、摄像，以免给自己带来不必要的麻烦。
In addition to activities organized by the University or local organization, you can also travel by yourselves during holidays or vacations, under the condition that there is no influence on teaching affairs. According to the contract, you need to inform the OICE of your travel plan, contact ways and return date. Please do not travel to an area which is not open to foreigners, do not take photos or videos where it is prohibited to avoid any unnecessary troubles.
9、您在校工作期间若因私事请假，应经所在院、部批准并报国际交流处；一学期事假累计不得超过十个工作日，对于违反者校方有权解除合同。如果您因病不能工作时，请提供医疗部门出具的疾病证明，病、事假涉及的工资、生活待遇等具体事宜按您与学校签订的合同协议办理。
In case you need to ask for leave for personal reasons during work days, you shall obtain approval from relevant colleges or departments where you teach and report to the OICE at the same time; For one semester, the accumulated private affair leave shall not exceed ten working days, for those who violate; the university has the right to terminate the contract. If you are not able to work because of illness, please show the disease certificate provided by relevant medical departments, the salary and other welfares affected by leave of absence are dealt with according to the contract.
10、当您进城采购物品、探亲访友时，请注意交通安全，不要乘坐无牌照以及超载车辆，注意人身钱财安全，饮食卫生安全。为保证安全，请勿在校外留宿，如果有特殊情况，须提前书面告知国际交流处。
When you go shopping or visit friends in the downtown, pleasepay attention to traffic safety and refrain from taking unlicensed and overloaded vehicles, mind your personal safety, property safety and food safety. To ensure your safety, please do not stay overnight off the campus. For any emergency cases, please inform the OICE in writing in advance.
11、请遵守有关的会客制度，督促访客按规定时间离开宿舍。如果您需在宿舍内留宿他人，必须提前通知国际交流处，并取得国际交流处同意，否则不可在宿舍内留宿他人。
Please observe relevant regulations for visitors; Urge visitors to leave at stipulated time. If you do need to accommodate someone in the apartment, you must inform the OICE in advance and obtain approval. Otherwise, accommodating anyone is not allowed.
12、学校在校内为您提供住房，配备了降温、取暖、洗澡、电视、电脑、炊具等电器设施及家具、卧具，请你们节约使用水电。
The university provides you with an on-campus apartment equipped with AC, geyser, TV, computer, cooking utensil and other appliance and furniture and bedding. Please save water and electricity.
13、请您按照住宿要求，爱护宿舍内一切物品，保持清洁卫生，安全使用室内生活设施，不饲养任何动物，不擅自改装、安装线路、电器等，配合国际交流处及保卫部门做好防火、防盗。
Please take care of all the property in your apartment and keep them clean. Use living facilities in a safe manner. Do not keep animals in the apartment. Do not refit any electric wire or install electric appliances without permission, be cooperative with OICE and security departments for fire and theft prevention.
14、国际交流处是学校对外工作的一个办事机构，主要负责您来校工作的接待、生活管理等，我们愿与您合作，欢迎您对我们的工作提出宝贵意见。
The OICE is a department of the university assigned to take charge of the reception, daily life management of foreign teachers. We are willing to cooperate with you and welcome your valuable ideas or suggestions about our work.
